What is granite run mall?

Granite Run Mall was a shopping mall located in Media, Pennsylvania. It first opened in 1974 and featured over 100 stores and restaurants, including anchor stores like Boscov's, JCPenney, and Macy's.

Over the years, the mall underwent several renovations and expansions, but struggled to compete with larger, more modern shopping centers in the area. In 2015, it was announced that the mall would be closing and demolished to make way for a mixed-use development called Promenade at Granite Run.

The demolition of Granite Run Mall began in 2016 and the new development, which includes residential units, retail space, and green space, officially opened in 2018. The closure of Granite Run Mall marked the end of an era for many residents of Delaware County who had fond memories of shopping and dining at the mall.
